While Black Friday is being increasingly criticized for its environmental impact, AIGLE is taking the opportunity to rethink this day in fashion. More sustainable, more circular, more committed: a campaign is underway to turn Black Friday into Green Friday!

How can we make fashion more responsible? AIGLE is raising awareness and providing an alternative approach through a “Shop and Donate” initiative. This Black Friday, AIGLE is partnering up with Redress, a pioneering Hong Kong environmental charity (NGO) working to reduce fashion waste. Through this activation, 5% of total sales from all AIGLE Hong Kong stores and the online store, will be donated to Redress to support their critical work to prevent and transform textile waste in the fashion industry.

Little changes that can make a big difference! Together, we can build a sustainable wardrobe! This initiative is also in line with Positive Impact, the brand’s commitment to leaving only its footprints behind. In October, AIGLE unveiled an ambitious plan to reduce its environmental footprint, an area where AIGLE’s authenticity is uncontested. While sustainability has been at the heart of AIGLE’s products since 1853, creating pieces that are fit ‘for all weathers and forever’, our new measures go even further, limiting the use of single-use plastics and increasing the amount of recycled and responsible materials used in our collections.

“AIGLE Positive Impact is a strong commitment that’s at the heart of our brand’s development. And so it was obvious that on November 27, AIGLE would not be taking part in Black Friday. We know that we will not change people’s behavior by pointing fingers or banning events like this, but rather by raising awareness and showing that credible alternatives exist that are more sustainable, more responsible and more environmentally friendly.” Sandrine Conseiller, AIGLE’s CEO.
