Hong Kong representative of the campaign: photographer and traveler Karen Tang (Little Cloud – Siu Wan). Karen used photography as a second language for as long as she can remember. She fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a photographer and, like AIGLE, enjoys pursuing all things beauty in the world.

In her eyes, the photos she takes are not mere photographs but stories with a sense of reality, emotion, and life. They also come with sensation that will recall memories.

How did you become a photographer?

Since I was little I loved to take pictures with my mum's camera; I majored in photography while studying abroad in the UK and worked to become a professional photographer upon graduation.

What does photography mean to you?

Photography is, to me, something amazing. With it I can capture moments in life as I desire. It is a meaningful way of documentation. Photography, is like my second language.

What would you like to capture most with your lenses?

I want to document my life. The styles of my photography at different stages of my life vary; so when I look at my photos, it's like I am reliving that part of my life.

You've travelled quite a bit for your studies and work. What do your favourite cities have in common?

I love cities for the scenery, people and culture. It's different everywhere and people changes with the city in which they live. The people I encountered in each places makes me who I am now.

How do you connect cityscape with nature through your craft?

Cityscape and nature are essentially the most exciting elements in photography. Nature reminds us the power of the Earth itself; without nature, there will be no cityscape. We often overlook this connection in the hectic city lifestyle. Photography works for me as a constant reminder of that.

What do you think about AIGLE?

I used to think AIGLE is just an eco-friendly clothing brand. With this collaboration I gained new understanding of its new design concepts and brand positioning, not only does it incorporates eco-friendly elements in its design, the styles are more diverse, and ideal for those who live in the city and venture in nature.

How does it inspire you?

From its design concept and colour schemes, it prompt me to spend more time on the smallest things in life, and notice that my surroundings have similar colours schemes with the collection as well; this is consistent with AIGLE's idea of venturing from nature into the city in style.

How do the pieces feel on you?

Both the brand's eco-consciousness and its conceptual designs are fascinating; the pieces fit for different occasions and suitable for a wide range of people; they feel great on the skin, and are comfortable to wear and easy to style.
